I have a super high arch so I was thrilled to see this design with a slight cuff in the heel area so I could slip my 3/4 orthotic right in over the top of the footbed that comes with the shoe. Eventually the memory foam in all the alegria shoes I own have worn down within a year of wear, but you can either replace the entire cork/foam footbed via their website, or just slide a piece of new foam insert over the top. These are great for slippers or walking shoes. Unfortunately the strap does not rotate to store the strap over the top of the foot if you like the look of a clog better. That’s one drawback for me as I would rather wear the strap over the top of the foot instead of behind my heel. To me it’s more chic that way like the Ingrid clog from Dansko. But these will do great as far as my chronically troubled feet go. I suppose I could alway cut the strap entirely off if I decide to but it would leave a silver brad on the inside where the strap is attached. I’m a 9.5 to 10 size and the size 40 is perfect.

These fit like a glove from the start. Great look and feel. I could wear these everyday. I have bunions and these shoes brought me no pain. If they had better colors, I’d order another pair!
