The Alegria Joleen was exactly was I was hoping, a comfortable and dressy-enough shoe to work with trousers for work. I have not only a Morton’s Neuroma, but need arch support for PTTD. This shoe provides adequate support and a roomy toe-box. The tooled leather gives it a slightly dressier (and less orthopedic) appearance than some shoes that meet these requirements.

Got a size 38 and 39. 38 was too short and 39 was too long. Wish they offered these in 38.5 as I think that would be perfect. Loved the tooled leather. Very disappointed that neither size fit.

These shoes were a bit too small especially across the top of my feet with the insoles that they came with. However, I took out the soles and put my orthotics in these shoes and they fit much better. I have very high arches and my orthotics also help with metatarsal pain. I have had the best luck with these brand of shoes for my “problem feet”. They feel good and look great. You can even wear them dressed up.

I really liked these shoes, but I should have gotten a 42. My feet fluctuate too much with weather and they were just too tight in a size 41. They were very comfortable otherwise and they are very cute shoes, although I noticed the design pressed into them were even on both sides. The left side seemed more pronounced than the right side.I may consider getting a size bigger at a different time, and probably in the black color instead of the dark brown.

I love these shoes. The style is great for my feet and I loved the little colorful designs – but… Just like the Sugar Skull clogs with colorful little Day of the Dead skulls all over them, the color wears off very very quickly. within a week or two, there were obvious bald spots on the shoes. I will provide a photos later – but I am very disappointed in the lack of durability of the thing that made these shoes so very attractive to me and such fun – the colorful little floral designs. There are bald spots – especially on the toes. Bummer.

I followed advice from reviews about shoe running big and ordered a size down from my usual 8-8.5(38). So I ordered 37. MISTAKE! Then I ordered my normal 38. My toes are hitting the end of the shoe. Now I ve ordered a 39!! If anything, this shoe runs a little smaller than usual. I’ve had to order one size UP! Please order your normal size or one size up. Only 1 review said that their normal size ran small. They’re correct. The shoe is well made and beautiful. Feels great. Don’t know about durability yet. Just trying to find the right size first!

Very comfortable! Normal size fit (wear 8 1/2) – ordered 39 & it was perfect! My feet sometimes require wide, but these are wide enough in medium width. Just perfect. Returned because I feel they are too expensive for me at this time. I’m a little concerned that when they get scuffed I cannot easily polish them due to this colorful design. If I pay this kind of a price, I do not want to have to deal with this issue. Very cute though & comfortable!

I have a bunion and a hammertoe, and need a shoe that has a roomy toe box but is still my size. I really like this shoe because it has a normal heel height and feels solid when I’m walking.

So I am a Birkenstock faithful but now that I am older I need more cushion. I was also looking for a closed toed shoe with style. Birkenstock has wonderful stylish choices for sandals but they have not caught up with their closed toe shoe options for women. So Algeria is the next best choice. These shoes felt comfortable right out of the box. I have been wearing Birkenstock for so many years my toes have spread out and it’s hard to find shoes that don’t rub my pinky toe. Their is pretty of Room for my big toe as well. I wore them to my choir concert where I have to stand still for an hour and they kept my feet pain free.

They look better on the website than in person – tooling is very superficial. They are bulky around the ankle/instep/arch area on the shoe and are the same width there as the toe of the shoe making them look very boxy.

This shoe is very comfortable to stand or walk in. I had them stretched since I have a high instep. They’re easy to get into and then closing the strap makes them secure on the foot. One shoe slips on the heel and the other doesn’t. You may want to get two pairs to see if you can get two that match that way.

I have problem wide feet and legs, I’ve been searching for a nice shoe that isn’t athletic. After reading reviews of Alegria shoes I went with the Joleen because of the round toe and the Velcro closer because of swelling. I got them in a few days. Right out of the box they felt great I’m sure as I wear them they will feel even better. I wear a 91/2 W the fit was perfect. The arch was good for me also. These shoes are are made with quality materials and are made well. They will last me a long time. They also look great with my jeans and pants. I would definitely recommend them. Well worth every dollar.

This is my first pair of Alegria shoes. It is a struggle to find professional, comfortable shoes for my 12 hour shifts. Soft foamy soles are comfortable at first but my feet ache by the end of my shift. The Alegria Joleen is not a soft foamy shoe. It is a sturdy, protective leather shoe with a substantial cork-like insole. It did take a few days of breaking in for the leather to form to my foot but the support is amazing. I also appreciate the velcro width adjustment can accommodate various sock thicknesses as I vary the types of support socks that I wear. Finally the perfect shoe for my needs! Bravo Alegria!

My first pair of Alegria were Jolene with a swirl pattern. Excellent fit and great comfort all day! Many compliments on my shoes for the look and style.
My second pair were Briana with the double strap. I dislike the tongue of the shoe since it comes up too high on my ankle. The hardest part to deal with, is the fore front of the shoe. I frequently trip over it. I won’t buy another pair, unless it’s styled like the Jolene on the front. Thank you.

I ordered a US size 9 that ended up being too big. Then I ordered th 8-8.5 pair which was too small. Wonder why they combined 8 and 8.5? A true 8.5 would have fit perfectly I believe. Super cute shoe and so easy to slip on.

I would have kept these, but the footbed felt really weird, like there was an unsupported couple of inches at the front of my heel. Oh well!
